Q: |
I entered the reg/code, but it doesn't unlock the rest of the program, says "invalid regcode, Please contact Redshift.". |
|
A: |
We apologize for this problem, maybe the automated key generator failed. Please send us your "short username" that can be found on the registration dialog, inside the game. Note: case and spaces are important! We'll reply with a new regcode. |

Q: |
The registration code I got from **** is invalid. My name is Mercedes Ferrari, but the short username "Mercerrari". It can be the problem. |
|
A: |
Your short username is correct, since it's always 10 characters long - first 5 and last 5 when the original is longer than 10 characters. The registration code is based on this "short form". |

Q: |
I have crashes with Legacy 1.05 on Tungsten T3. |
|
A1: |
Please make you sure you have the T3 compatibility pack installed. However, this pack has more versions! The one which can be downloaded from our site is the good one. |
|
A2: |
You need to start the game with "opened" device. It's on ongoing issue, we apologize for this. |

Q: |
I just bought Legacy. How do I get the manual? |
|
A: |
Sorry, we don't have an individual document which can be called as manual. However, I think the best is to read David Eaton's review: it's a kind of tutorial: Link to the David's review. A new tutorial could help you, too: Link to AustinTW's tutorial. Another thing: the game contains a Help, with important information. You may find more information on www.1src.com, Legacy forums. |

Q: |
I have a registered Legacy 1.04 version, purchased at ****. Can I upgrade my version to 1.05? And is it a free upgrade or do I have to pay for it? |
|
A: |
The Legacy 1.05 version is free for registered users! You don't have to pay for it, simply download the 1.05 version and install it: this version uses the same registration code that 1.04 did. |

Q: |
How can I upgrade my version to 1.05? Will I lose my saved games/downloaded maps? |
|
A: |
Simply download the 1.05 shareware version, and install it. This new version will overwrite your old one, but this process never touches the saved games/downloaded maps! You shouldn't have a single problem after uograding. |

|
Q: |
If I reinstall Legacy on my device, will I lose the saved games? |
|
A: |
You won't! Unless you use "delete" before the reinstall. The delete function removes all the databases from the selected application. You shouldn't use that, except you have to. |

Q: |
Why my Legacy game doesn't have sound? The game and graphics are great, but I don't have sound. Plase help! |
|
A: |
Please check the speaker icon on the main screen. If you see a diagonal red line on it, then it's simply muted - tap on it to enable. But when you see a big red X on it, then the game can't find a compatible sound hardware - in this case just a future version could help you! Please check the sound settings on your device, because it can be muted (at system level), or even you can have too low sound volume. |

Q: |
I have the Legacy 1.05x version on my Tungsten T. The base game runs well, but since I installed the Expansion packs, I have several crashes. What is the problem? |
|
A: |
The same can happen on Tungsten T2 and Zire devices... these have less "execution" memory, which is hidden for you and cannot be expanded, but important for applications. Legacy tries to solve it by using handheld store memory instead of execution memory. The problem is every installed expansion pack requires a small but reasonable amount of execution memory - So please remove the additional worlds, but leave one of them installed. When you finish it, you can remove the actual one and install an other one. In addition, please download and use this modifed version. It tries to use less execution memory. Note: for example on your Tungsten T, Legacy requires additional 2 MB of handheld store memory to run - because of the temporary files. IMPORTANT: Check Frantisek Dufka's Fargo Heap Resizer! |

Q: |
Can I play with Legacy from my card instead of handheld memory? |
|
A: |
Yes and no. Yes, you can run the game from the card, but the Palm operating system copies back to normal memory any applications that you run from a card! That's why you still need the required amount of store memory... sorry again! It's because the many bitmaps. |

Q: |
Is the game compatible with my Treo 600? It's an os5, high quality device. |
|
A: |
Sorry, we don't have a compatible version now... probably we'll have in the future. The only problem is the resolution, the game really expects at least 320x320 now. We have to redesign the game for 160x160 (many bitmaps, dialogs, huge work). Please check www.redshift.hu sometimes in the future, I hope we'll have a compatible version soon. |

Q: |
How can I backup my saved games from my Palm device? |
|
A: |
First, you need a hotsync with your desktop and your pda. This process backups all the databases to an archive folder on your desktop computer. This folder's path can be various - based on your Palm Desktop version - so run it, then select Tools/Options to see the "Data Directory". In that directory, you can see LegacySaveX.pdb files... where X means 0-4. The 0 is the auto-saved game, the 1-4 are the slots. Simply copy these files to another directory and the backup is done! To restore, simply install the selected LegacySaveX.pdb files from your backup directory! |

Q: |
How can I reset an additional world in Legacy? I would like to start the world again. |
|
A: |
Please follow these steps: 1. Download a database manager, install and start it. You can use a different manager, too. 2. Locate the additional world in the database list (for example "misspack" for the Official Expansion Pack). Delete it from your device. 3. Start Legacy, load your saved game, then save it. 4. Install the additional world again. Now your saved game doesn't have any information for this world.
Note: this process won't remove the items from your inventory (which came from the world to be reseted) |
