One of the most important "features": the expansion pack requires the 1.03 version.
Palm 1.03:
the 1.03 needs less db cache (important for NVFS devices like TX, Lifedrive, T5, ...),
now you can install the music file if you had to remove that earlier
and it needs less heap - however if you install the exp pack, you still need that 3 MB
could be a bit slower sometimes... less memory almost always means reduced speed
